We believe the community survey findings will be discussed at tomorrow's council meeting.

We have also been advised that the Suttons Beach Public Space project has progressed to the next stage. The development application (DA/2023/2933) for the proposed demolition of the Suttons Beach Pavilion was submitted on Wednesday 26 July 2023 and is being assessed.
This is a code-assessable application. Code-assignable applications are assessed against the relevant assessment benchmarks of Council’s Planning Scheme.
In this instance the assessment benchmarks will be:
• 6.2.9.2 - Recreation and open space zone code
• 8.2.1 - Coastal hazard overlay code
• 8.2.2 - Flood hazard overlay code.
The Council follows a rigorous process for all development applications. Comprehensive DA assessments are influenced by a number of factors, including the quality of the application (i.e., whether it meets the relevant assessment benchmarks), and the complexity of the proposed works. We cannot provide a timeline at this stage of the project, but promise to keep you updated.
According to the Planning Act 2016, Code Assessable development applications do not have to be advertised publicly and submissions are not required. Additionally, Suttons Beach Pavilion is not listed on the State Government's Heritage Register, so no referral is required.
We look forward to sharing with you the recent results from the building style community survey and community feedback..
